Riverside County is the fourth most populous county in California. According to the 2010 U.S. census, Riverside County is home to 2,189,641 residents — more than the entire population of 15 U.S. states.
Riverside County’s population grew by 76 percent between 1980 and 1990, making it the fastest-growing county in California at the time. Since 1992, the population has nearly doubled.
